Squier Strats for less than $100 in Fender's Cyber Monday sale at Amazon – with free Fender Play subscription? That's mad
Need a second guitar? Looking for a gift idea? The Squier Debut Stratocaster is now cheaper than ever.
If you need an affordable Strat or you're looking for a gift idea for a budding guitar player, you could do worse than checking out the Fender store on Amazon.
Earlier this year, Fender debuted the, uh, Squier Debut Stratocaster, presumably to take on the wave of cheap beginner guitars that you can find on Amazon. The usually retails for $119, but for Cyber Monday it's been reduced to $99.99 – with a free subscription to Fender Play, the firm’s acclaimed online guitar lesson platform – bundled into the deal. It's a great beginner's package.
Squier’s Debut Stratocaster is the most affordable Strat in the Fender line-up and the price has dropped 17% to below $100 for Cyber Weekend. A great deal and, we assume, just for this weekend…
If you’re looking for a decent beginner electric guitar, this is one of the best around for the money, with the added kudos of Squier/Fender branding, a two-year warranty and that a free subscription to Fender Play.
What's the spec? A poplar body, a comfortable C-shaped maple neck (ideal for newbies), a laurel fretboard, ceramic pickups, a five-way pickup selector switch and a tremolo bridge, in classic Sunburst and Black finishes. If you were buying it for yourself, you could swap out those ceramic pickups for something a bit tastier.
