New Mixes of the Beatles’ Legendary Rooftop Performance Announced

This Sunday, January 30, marks the 53rd anniversary of the Beatles’ final live performance staged on the roof of their Apple Corps headquarters in London. 

The legendary gig continues to turn heads to this day and following a recent series of official announcements fans can expect more headturning excitement in the days ahead.

Kicking off the celebrations will be a new set of mixes created by Giles Martin and Sam Okell in Stereo and Dolby Atmos. Tomorrow, January 28, at 5am (GMT) Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/UMe will debut The Beatles: Get Back The Rooftop Performance on global streaming services.

Later in the day (9am PST / 12pm EST), Norah Jones is due to release tribute videos of songs from the Let It Be album performed atop New York’s Empire State Building. Visit Jones’ YouTube channel to view her special renditions of “I’ve Got A Feeling” and “Let It Be.”

Following up on Saturday, January 29, Cirque du Soleil will debut their theatrical Love version of “Get Back” in the form of a rooftop tribute video. Tune in to Cirque du Soleil’s YouTube Channel at 6am PST / 9am EST / 2pm GMT for the main show (and don’t forget to stick around for some behind-the-scenes footage screening afterwards.)

On Sunday, January 30, a special screening event of The Beatles: Get Back The Rooftop Performance will take place exclusively at IMAX theaters both in the U.S. and U.K. Presented by Disney/Apple Corps Ltd./WingNut this 60-minute feature comprises the Beatles’ entire rooftop performance.

And finally, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have today announced they will be hosting a year-long immersive exhibition from March 18, 2022 titled The Beatles: Get Back to Let It Be.

Complimenting Peter Jackson’s acclaimed “Get Back” docuseries fans will be invited to transport themselves back to The Beatles’ January 1969 rehearsals, sessions and final rooftop performance. 

With a set that includes original music gear, clothes, and handwritten lyrics visitors will be treated to large-scale projections and an immersive sound experience.
