Lzzy Hale Named First Female Gibson Brand Ambassador
The Halestorm hard rock powerhouse says she is “beyond honored".

It’s getting on for 100 years since Gibson released their first signature guitar, the Nick Lucas “Gibson Special” flat-top. Since then, the brand has released countless more, albeit comparatively few female artist models. There was of course the Emmylou Harris L-200; Sheryl Crow Country Western; Grace Potter Flying V; and Joan Jett ES-339. However, this handful pales in comparison to the vast number of male artist models Gibson have introduced over the decades.
Since Fender revealed their male/female market demographic was split down the middle, they have increasingly sought to reflect this reality in their product line. So, it’s very welcome news that Gibson have announced Lzzy Hale as their first female Brand Ambassador following the sold-out success of her Gibson Lzzy Hale Explorer and the Epiphone Lzzy Hale Explorer.
According to a recent press release, the Grammy Award-winning vocalist and guitarist for hard rockers Halestorm is due to collaborate on a collection of both electric and acoustic guitars, not just across Gibson, but also Epiphone, and Kramer.
“I am beyond honored to be named a Gibson ambassador,” said Hale. “Ever since I was 16 years old, it was my dream to someday be a part of the Gibson circle. It’s an incredible feeling to know that this dream has become a reality. Something magical ignites within me when I hold a Gibson guitar in my hands, the same guitars that my forefathers and foremothers of rock slung over their shoulders. With Gibson, I am the Rockstar I’m meant to be. It is a privilege to represent my genre, my gender, and the incredible power of music that unites us all, with my beautiful Gibson Family.”
Thankfully, under its new management regime the historic brand appears to be moving forward in line with the industry as a whole. “It’s an honor to welcome Lzzy Hale as our newest Gibson Ambassador,” adds Gibson Brand President Cesar Gueikian. “Lzzy is an ambassador of music, not just Gibson. A powerhouse singer, badass guitarist, and an influential force in music, Lzzy is a trailblazer in every sense of the word… She has and continues to pave the way for other artists leading by example, [and] breaking down barriers.”
